Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the private chef and catering services provided by Culinary Collective ATL. By booking our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Booking & Payment Schedule

To secure your event date on our calendar, we require strict adherence to the following payment policy:

  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Your date is not officially reserved until this payment is received and processed.
  • Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due exactly 14 days prior to your scheduled event.
  • Late Payments: If the final payment is not received 14 days before the event, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, and all prior deposits will be forfeited.

2. Minimum Event Booking

  • Our baseline package for private chef experiences requires a minimum of 2 guests at a rate of $250 per person. Smaller parties may be accommodated but will be billed at this minimum base rate.

3. Guest Count & Menu Changes

  • Final Headcount: Your final, guaranteed guest count must be submitted to us 14 days prior to the event alongside your final payment.
  • If your headcount increases after this deadline, we will do our best to accommodate the extra guests. You will be billed for additional costs, which must be paid immediately.
  • If your headcount decreases after the 14-day mark, the final balance due will not be reduced, as ingredients, staffing, and logistics are finalized based on the 14-day number.

4. Gratuity & Service Charges

  • Events with 25 Guests or Fewer: Gratuity is completely at the client's discretion. While tips are greatly appreciated by our culinary team and service staff for outstanding performance, they are not expected.
  • Events Over 25 Guests: For events exceeding 25 guests, an automatic gratuity/service fee will be applied directly to the final invoice to account for the expanded service team required.

5. Rentals & Disposables

  • Unless explicitly stated in your event proposal, the Client is responsible for providing all necessary dinnerware, glassware, linens, and utensils.
  • Rental Assistance: Upon request, Culinary Collective ATL can assist the Client in coordinating, sourcing, or advising on appropriate event rentals. Any third-party rental costs will be passed through to the Client, or billed directly by the rental vendor.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Because we turn away other clients to commit to your date, cancellations impact our business significantly.

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event: The 50% booking deposit is non-refundable but may be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled event within 6 months, subject to our availability.
  • Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before the event: All funds paid (the full 100% of the estimated event cost) are entirely non-refundable, as food inventory, prep labor, and staff booking have already occurred.

7. Client Responsibilities & Venue Access

  • Kitchen Conditions: For private chef services, the Client must provide a clean, safe, and fully functioning kitchen environment, including working appliances (stove, oven, sink, refrigerator) and clear counter space.
  • Access: The Client agrees to provide our culinary team access to the venue or home at the designated load-in time (typically 1.5 to 3 hours before service, depending on menu complexity). Delayed access may result in delayed food service.
  • Trash & Cleanup: We will clean the prep surfaces, stove, and any dishes we use during the event. Unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing, final trash disposal into the venue's main bins or property dumpsters is the responsibility of the Client.

8. Food Safety, Leftovers, & Allergies

  • Allergies: The Client must notify us of any severe food allergies or dietary restrictions during the menu planning phase. While we take strong precautions to avoid cross-contamination, we operate in environments where allergens may be present and cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.
  • Leftovers: Any food left unconsumed at the conclusion of the service period becomes the responsibility of the Client if they choose to keep it. We waive all liability for the safety and quality of food once our team leaves the premises.

9. Liability & Damages

Culinary Collective ATL carries professional liability insurance.

  • We are not responsible for any damage to the Client's property, equipment, or venue unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct by our staff.
  • The Client assumes liability for any damage caused to our equipment, dinnerware, or property by the Client or the Client's guests.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia.

Any disputes arising from these terms will be handled in the appropriate courts closest to Johns Creek, GA.
